Before you start

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Everything except the custom CSS lesson is visual. The CSS lesson is optional and easy if you’ve taken the CSS course on this site.

How much does Squarespace cost?

You can build on a free trial. Publishing requires a paid plan, and features like custom CSS and selling online depend on the plan. Plans and prices change, so check squarespace.com/pricing.

What will I build?

A portfolio website with a home page, project galleries, an about page, a blog, a contact form and optional print sales, on your own domain.

Squarespace or Wix?

Both are easy, all-in-one builders. Squarespace is known for polished, design-led templates and suits portfolios well. Wix offers more freedom and apps. Pick the one whose editor you enjoy.
