Before you start
Do I need to know CSS first?
Yes, the basics. Frameworks save time, but you still need to understand the box model, flexbox and media queries. The free CSS course on this site covers them.
Which versions does this course use?
Bootstrap 5.3 and Tailwind CSS v4. Older tutorials for Bootstrap 4 or Tailwind v3 differ in setup and some class names.
Do I need Node.js?
Not for Bootstrap or Tailwind’s quick CDN options. For real Tailwind projects, you’ll use Node.js and npm, which lesson 7 explains.
What will I build?
A responsive landing page with a navbar, hero, features, pricing, FAQ and footer, built once with Bootstrap and once with Tailwind.
