Before you start
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Everything in this course uses Wix’s visual tools. Basic design sense helps more than code.
Is Wix free?
You can build and publish on a free plan with a Wix-branded address and ads. A premium plan is needed for your own domain, no Wix ads, and selling online. Plans and prices change, so check wix.com/plans for current details.
What will I build?
A small business website with Home, Services, About, Blog and Contact pages, a working form, SEO settings, a custom domain and a mobile-friendly design.
Wix or WordPress?
Wix is quicker to start and maintain, with everything included. WordPress gives you more control and flexibility. For a small business that wants to edit its own site, Wix is often the easier choice.
