Before you start
Do I need to know HTML first?
Yes, the basics. CSS styles HTML, so you need to know what headings, paragraphs, links and divs are. The free HTML course on this site covers everything you need.
How long does it take to learn CSS?
You can learn the essentials in three to four weeks doing one lesson a day. Getting really comfortable with layouts takes a few real projects.
Is CSS still worth learning with page builders and AI?
Yes. Page builders and AI tools write CSS for you, but when something looks wrong on a phone or a client asks for a small change, knowing CSS is what lets you fix it in minutes.
What will I build?
A fully responsive landing page with a header, hero section, feature cards, pricing and a footer, styled with Flexbox, Grid and media queries.
